This blog was begun in a small fishing village in The Peloponnese while the Syriza government and the Eurozone authorities, with the IMF, slugged it out: the Eurocrats standing for imposed austerity, and rigid rules of economic management without regard to their effects on the people. The impasse they have reached is the one we are all in: have the rich now got total control of the systems we live by? What price poetry, what gives us the right to speak of lovingkindness in a world in hock to Big Finance? How can we feel happy and free when such things happen as newspapers daily shock us with? There may be no answers to these questions that the night propounds, questions the day dispels without entertaining the thought of.
